Spanning roughly 420 hectares, the complex comprises a 1.2-million-tonne-per-year ethylene cracker, polyethylene and polypropylene lines, and supporting utilities — the largest chemical project Huasheng has delivered in the Middle East to date. At peak, more than 12,000 workers were on site, accumulating over 68 million safe work hours.
A modular construction strategy saw 386 heavy modules erected, the largest weighing 2,400 tonnes. A digital site platform governed schedule, quality, and safety end-to-end, achieving mechanical completion 42 days ahead of the contract date.
At the handover ceremony the owner noted the plant will lift its high-end polyolefin capacity by 30% and create around 2,000 permanent local jobs.
